Invema started its operations in 1994, as a Aluminum Can Recycler with three employees, today Invema is a buyer / processor of all types of Scrap Metals, Cardboard, Vehicle Batteries, Electronic Scrap, and Pet Bottles, employing 385 people, and collecting approximately 120,000 metric tons of scrap materials per year in its San Pedro Sula, Honduras facility.


In 2015, Invema became the second largest generator of Electricity through solar panels for its own consumption in Honduras,  producing up to 2 Megawatt of power,  through the installation of 5780 solar panels. In 2017, Invema finished the installation of a 7,500 Metric Ton per month Food Grade Recycle Pet Pellet facility, and a 6600 Metric ton per year  Food Grade Recycle Pet Sheet Facility. Today , Invema is the only Coca Cola approved Rpet Post Consumer Resin producer in Central America.


In Pet Recycling, Invema uses the complete Pet Bottle, recycling the Caps into HDPE PCR Resin, the Labels in PCR PP Resin, and the Pet Body into Food Grade RPet resin and Sheet, as well as supplying Pet Flakes for other applications around the world.
