Harvinder Paul (Manu) is Managing Director of Clearpack (Thailand) Co., Ltd and Group VP of Singapore headquartered, Clearpack Group of companies. Manu, as he is commonly known among friends and associates, has called Thailand home since last 19 years.
Manu is responsible for all country operations of the Clearpack group spanning 11 countries in Asia, Middle East and Africa. With 5 factories in Europe and Asia, Clearpack is involved in design, manufacturing and marketing of machinery for packaging of consumer products in food, beverage, home and personal care industries. Manu and his team have helped customers to automate entire value chain in the Packaging process and gain cost competitiveness.
Manu is a certified director (Thai IOD) and has degrees in Engineering and MBA from India.

Mr. David Swift

David Swift

David Swift was educated in UK studying Biochemistry at the University of Manchester and, subsequently, gained a Masters degree in Toxicology from the University of Surrey.
David joined Shell's research laboratory in Sittingbourne, Kent (UK) in the Crop Protection business but moved to Shell Centre in 1980 to work initially on global regulatory submissions. Several wide ranging assignments followed, including product management in different business units and work in the Chemical Strategy and Planning unit before joining Shell's PET business unit in 1997. During this period David gained an MBA from Henley Management College/Brunel University.
David transferred to M&G Group in May 2000, with the purchase of Shell's PET business, working as Global Marketing manager for the Resins Business Unit. In March 2007, he joined PCI PET Packaging Resin & Recycle Ltd. (PET & RPET) and subsequently became the owner.
In November 2015, PET & RPET was acquired, along with other PCI companies, by Wood Mackenzie and David continues to work in PCI Wood Mackenzie as a Director of Research, PET & RPET.

A committed and energetic senior executive with almost 25 year experiences in research industry, who conceptualized, developed and implemented different research projects and market initiatives for both local and multi-national clients.
Co-founder of MMRD Research Services and has successfully accomplished and managed over 1,000 research projects for both qualitative and quantitative studies.
Started his career with Yangon Directory Group (First Ever Business Directory in Myanmar) under MMRD group of companies from ground level of interviewing with different businesses, selling ads spaces, working on design & publication and grew up through various positions to a Sr. Manager. Then he worked for Advertising and Promotion projects as an operation manager for International brands when company expended an Advertising Division. To fulfill market's needs and continue providing services to the clients; he was assigned to set up the marketing research division of MMRD; and led the consumer research projects, retail measurement and media monitoring services.
Since then, he has been focusing his specialty on marketing and research services and became the first Domestic Operation Manager for "AC Nielsen SRG Myanmar", a JV partner of MMRD; from 1995 to late 1997 till they withdrew from the market due to political sanctions.
He took the active role in reforming the structure of MMRD Research Services in 1998 to be in line with country's political and market situation and took the position of General Manager to lead & develop the research services till February 2014. Then, he continues his service with Nielsen MMRD when Nielsen, the world leading research agency and MMRD, Myanmar's leading research agency became JV partner on 1st March 2014.
He is also known as knowledgeable person and one of the top leaders in Myanmar's consumer insights, media and retail measurements.
He is a founding member of business associations such as Myanmar Retailers Association, Myanmar Economic Association, Market Research Association (Myanmar) and Professional Marketers Association actively to help develop industries.

He is from the family that was one of the Pioneers to venture into PET packaging in 2001 and now has been the top PET bottle manufacturer in Myanmar.

Dr. Amonthep Chawla is the Head of Research Office at the CIMB Thai Bank where he conducts market research on financial liquidity, interest rate and economic outlook of Thailand as well as the ASEAN region. He also evaluates business sectors that provide opportunities or pose potential risks to the Bank.


Prior to joining the CIMB Thai Bank in 2013, Dr. Chawla worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC), Kasikorn Bank, Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI), East-West Center and Nihon University in Tokyo where he specialized in conducting policy research. Between 2007 and 2012, he worked as a technical consultant to the United Nations (UN), International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and other international funding agencies in providing series of training in the area of macroeconomic development to government officials and academic staff in several countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.


Dr. Chawla received an East-West Center Scholarship to complete his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in the US.

Pierre joined Husky in 2007, and has held progressive roles through Europe and Asia since then. He moved to South East Asia 3 years ago as Business Advisor, supporting Asia Pacific customers on Assets Management and Application Development. He is now heading the Sales teams for Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Myanmar region. Prior to joining Husky, Pierre worked as a Project Engineer at Air Liquide in France. He holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Engineering School of Metz in France.

Dr. Jacques Marcille is graduated in Biology (mathematical modeling applied to fish stock assessment). He worked 20 years as a scientist, specialized in shrimp and in tuna stock assessment. He found "La Vie" Natural Mineral Water spring in VIETNAM and became from 1991 to 1994, Managing Director of the company set up by Mr. B. Forey, a French entrepreneur, to exploit that resource. This brand, now majority owned by Nestle Group, became the leader on its market. In 2008 Mr. Forey and Dr. Marcille went in Cambodia as there was no production of Natural Mineral Water in this country. After finding the spring of Eau Kulen, a Company, Kulara Water, was formed to exploit this resource located deep at the foot of the Holy mountain of Mount Kulen. Dr. Marcille is now the MD of "EAU KULEN" which is developing quite well

.Arief Dewanto graduated from Trisakti University in Jakarta, Indonesia with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Business Administration from Swiss German University, Indonesia.


Prior to taking his current role as General Manager for Operations at PT Indo Tirta Abadi, he was the Chief Representative / Country Manager for Husky Injection Molding Systems for almost 10 years and has quite an extensive network and knowledge on Indonesia Plastic Beverage Packaging Industry, specifically in PET Packaging. He has also been invited  as a speaker by the Indonesia Packaging Federation to several seminar events.

Mr. Suresh Singhal is the Managing Director of Himalayan Group. Himalayan is one of the major packaging solutions provider companies in India with manufacturing facilities in Dehradun, Uttarakhand and Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and corporate office at Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Mr. Singhal is an Engineering Graduate (B.E. Mechanical) and holds a Masters Degree in Business Management. He has been in the past, associated with various prestigious organizations like Jindal Steel and Power Ltd., Reliance Industries Ltd., Engineers India Ltd., Lurgi India Company Ltd. and I.S.G.E.C. Yamunanagar in various capacities. He is also on the board of directors of KIC Metaliks Ltd.

The contribution of Mr. Singhal in the field of business excellence and innovation has been widely appreciated and recognized. He has been presented with various awards, which include Uttarakhand MSME Award 2014 presented by Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and Indiastar 2015 presented by Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) to name a few.

Mr. Singhal has been a speaker at various conferences and seminar related to PET, held worldwide, and is also the General Secretary of PCMA (PET Container Manufacturers Association), an organization which serves as a platform to unite the major players of PET processors of India, in an endeavor to organize it in a better way.
