Mr. David Swift

 David Swift was educated in UK studying Biochemistry at the University of Manchester and, subsequently, gained a Masters degree in Toxicology from the University of Surrey.

David joined Shell's PET business unit in 1997 and in 2000, David transferred to M&G Group , with the purchase of Shell's PET business, working as Global Marketing manager for the Resins Business Unit. In March 2007, he joined PCI PET Packaging Resin & Recycle Ltd. (PET & RPET) and subsequently became the owner.

In November 2015, PET & RPET was acquired, along with other PCI companies, by Wood Mackenzie and David continues to work in PCI Wood Mackenzie as a Director of Research, PET & RPET.

Mr. Kaunain Shahidi

 Mr. Kaunain Shahidi is a strategic thinker with over 20 years' experience in Packaging Technology. He holds a Post-Graduation in Packaging Technology from Indian Institute of Packaging, India. His additional achievements include; recognition by the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) as a Certified Packaging Professional (CPP), USA and Associate. Inst. Pkg. by Institute of Packaging (IOP), UK.

Mr. Kaunain has comprehensive understanding, knowledge and practical exposure of broad packaging spectrum with expertise in packaging innovations, trends and technologies. He has served packaging industry at various levels with national and multinational companies.

Mr. Kaunain regularly participates in various seminars and conferences to share his ideas on packaging, which he considers as fascinating and dynamic subject with an incredible and complicated future but having great potential for brand and business growth in the digitalized economy of 21st century.

Mr. Riccardo Rubini

 Riccardo Rubini joined the SACMI Group in Imola, Italy in 2013.

He graduated from the University of Bologna in 2008 and is presently Area Sales Manager for the GCC and CIS markets in the Closures&Containers divisions at SACMI Imola.

Rubini is currently handling assignments as Key-Account Manager for the biggest East-Europe customer of the Closures&Containers Division.

After joining SACMI in 2013, Rubini was first appointed as Project manager and worked in this capacity until 2015. He subsequently moved on to a new position as Area Sales Manager for the CIS and GCC markets, being directly responsible for all sales activities and all developments activity in the mentioned markets within the caps and closure business.

Thanos Tsetsonis is a Director of Regional Sector Research at the Treasury of Emirates NBD. His major fields of study are international economics and finance with particular interests in Emerging Europe and MENA Region. Prior to joining ENBD in 2014, Mr. Tsetsonis served as an Economist for Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI). From 2007 to 2011, he worked as an Economist at the Research Division of Piraeus Bank, Greece.

 Engineer Tarek Sultan graduated from Ain Shams University with a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1989. He has 25 years of wealthy experiences in multi-national companies with 15 years of abroad assignments (out of Egypt) working for Schlumberger in the North Sea, Procter & Gamble in Europe and the Middle East, PepsiCo in Egypt, Henkel in Egypt and Bericap in Egypt and Middle East/Africa region. Currently, Tarek is working for Bericap for the last seven years as Bericap Egypt General Manager and board member.

She had previously worked as Deputy CEO in Kuwait Packing Materials (KPAK), a leading manufacturer of extruded, expanded foam products. She has an extensive knowledge and experience in thermoforming, extrusion and plastic food packing processes. She has a great understanding of the latest technologies and best practices in plant and production management as well as product and process development. She is recently involved in recycling project aiming to conserve energy, help the environment and reduce waste products.
