Mr. Ronald Ndegwa

Ronald Ndegwa is the current Managing Director of Savannah Cement, a state of the art, eco-friendly cement grinding plant located in Athi-River, Kenya.

 

Prior to his appointment in December 2013, Ndegwa had accumulated a wealth of knowledge spanning over 15 years' in the manufacturing sector as a supply chain specialist during which time he had held various senior management roles and had overall responsibility over a wide range of assets and activities.

 

He has also been extensively involved in Strategic operations planning and business development. He is renowned for innovation and operational efficiency.

 

He was instrumental in the turnaround of the supply chain functions in the oil, alcoholic beverages and soda ash sectors having worked with Caltex Kenya, East African Breweries as the Group Head of Supply Chain & Logistics and with Magadi Soda, a member of the giant Tata Group, as the Director of Supply Chain.

 

At Savannah Cement, Ndegwa has committed his energies to deliver top line growth anchored on an ambitious double digit growth in the medium term. He is also actively leading efforts to double the current production capacity, and at the same time championing efforts to establish a clinkerisation plant.

 

Ronald is a holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nairobi and also holds a post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management from South Africa's Damelin Management School.

Mr. Karim Moumni

Mr. Karim Moumni is the Corporate Technical Director  of CIMAF in abidjan, Ivory Coast. He is responsible for the technical management of Ivory Coast group plants,with an annual production of 2 Mio T. From 2014-2015, he is the  Corporate Technical Director & Project Director of CIMAF in  Douala, Cameroon. He was responsible for the Technical management of all group plants, including Development strategy and technical production objectives· He was also in charge of the construction of 3 500KT cement grinding & bagging plant in sub-Saharan Africa.

From 2013- 2014, he was the  Head of Cement Plant & Technical Director in  Conakry, Guinea. From 2008 - 2012, he was the Deputy cement plant manager in Maintenance Dept with Holcim in Oujda, Morocco. Prior to that, he was the Cement Production & Responsible Environmental Manager for 3 years & he started his career with Holcim since 1998, holding various position in Quality & Environment and Maintenance.

Mr. Karim Moumni graduated from the National Engineers School of Mining Industry in Rabat Morocco. He has attended several training courses in Morocco, France, Switzerland, Canada.

Mr. Xavier Saint-Martin-Tillet

Graduated from Centrale Paris, Xavier Saint-Martin-Tillet, began his career as a research engineer. He joined Lafarge Cements France in 1996. He was in charge of Operations of  the Venezuelan subsidiary in 2007, then Deputy chief Executive Officer of Lafarge Algeria’s industrial activities in 2009. Xavier held the position of Fuel procurement Director for the LafargeHolcim group since 2014 before his appointment as LafargeHolcim Côte d’Ivoire Country CEO in 2016.

Mrs. Zineb Zeryouhi

Zineb Zeryouhi is currently Business Development Director at LafargeHolcim Maroc  Afrique (LHMA), a JV between the LafargeHolcim and SNI (Société Nationale d’Investissement) groups. She’s in charge of developing LHMA’s footprint in francophone West and Central Africa.

 

Before joining LHMA, she was an Investment Manager at SNI, where she was in charge of business development with a special focus on Sub-Saharan Africa and the management of the mining assets portfolio.

 

Prior to that, she worked at the African Development Bank, as a senior investment officer in the Private Sector Department, SNI, PricewaterhouseCoopers and BNP Paribas Asset Management.

 

She holds a Master’s degree in Management from ESCP Europe, specialized in corporate finance.

Mr. Craig Hilton Waterson

Craig’s started his career as a civil engineer before joining PPC in a sales and marketing role in 1989.  During the following 20 years he held various positions in the company including Sales and Marketing director for PPC Cement.  After a short period with a concrete product manufacturing subsidiary of a major South African construction company, he re-joined PPC as country manager for their operation in Mozambique.

 

Craig was appointed Managing Director of PPC Barnet DRC in October 2014 during the start-up phase of the company and returned to South Africa at the end of 2016 where he has the position of Executive manager at PPC Limited.

Craig is a Professional Engineer and holds a BSc (Civil Engineering) qualification and a Masters degree in Business Leadership.

Dr. Abdu Mukhtar

Dr. Abdu Mukhtar is the Group Chief Strategy Officer of Dangote Industries Limited. In this role he assists the President in providing overall strategic direction for the Group and developing short-term and long-term plans to achieve Dangote's core purpose and principal business aims.

 

Dr. Mukhtar has acquired extensive experience in both private and public sectors across Africa, Asia, North America and the Middle East, in areas such as privatization, public-private partnerships, private equity, management consulting and entrepreneurship. He has chaired the Boards of several private companies and sits on the Boards of four non-profit organizations.

 

Dr. Mukhtar received a medical degree from ABU Zaria, a Ph.D. from Boston University, MBA from Harvard Business School and MPA from Harvard Kennedy School. He also received certificates in Corporate Governance and Leadership from INSEAD and Oxford University respectively. He is the recipient of several international awards.

Mr. Amadou SY

Amadou is a civil engineer graduate from the University of Montréal, School of Engineering and a Registered Professional Engineer in Canada since 2008. He is also a graduate in Management and Public Affairs from Paris Institute of Political Studies.

From 2008 to 2014 he conducted various transport infrastructure projects (airport, rail, road, highway, harbor ...) in the technical division of Egis International, especially the Dakar-Diamniadio Toll Highway and the Nouakchott new international airport.

In 2015, he joined Currie & Brown in which he was in charge of the strategic management of infrastructure projects.

Since June 2016, Amadou is a Manager in charge of Infrastructure & Capital Projects at Deloitte Africa.

Mr. James Wahome

Mr. James WAHOME is the Lead Regional Economist, broadly responsible for supporting the development efforts of the fourteen (14) countries in the West Africa sub-Region, in the African Development Bank Group (AfDB). Mr. Wahome provides advisory services aimed at enhancing the development impact and effectiveness of the AfDB’s programs of assistance in West Africa. He also provides leadership to AfDB’s country-teams working in West Africa, and assists in the preparation and implementation of operational policy documents, particularly country and regional strategies. Besides country operation work, Mr Wahome has served in other Departments of the African Development Bank Group, including in the Policy Review and Compliance, and in Transitional States Department

Mr. Luk Haelterman

Luk Haelterman is Dangote's Country Head for Senegal.

 

After completing his Master studies as a Commercial Engineer at the University of Brussels (Solvay Business School), Luk started his career as a consultant with Andersen.


In the last 30 years, Luk has been actively involved in different industrial and international manufacturing corporations as Managing, Executive or Non-Executive Director. His area of specialization has been the basic industry, amongst others construction, nonferrous, steel, wood, cement,.... His expertise has also been demonstrated in managing green field projects to delivering the results (mainly in different countries in Africa), as well as in restructuring businesses on the downturn to a new live (mostly in Europe).


He obtained further degrees a.o. a Master after Master in Construction... He was a member of various workgroups (Federation of Belgian Industries, Fabrimetal - metal using companies in Belgium -,...) and lectured at different institutions (University of Brussels, Institute of Accountants Belgium, Covenant University Nigeria...). He was nominated as an official Consultant of the French Republic on Foreign Trade and was founder and president of the Belgian Business Leaders in Nigeria. He was an active member of the Metropolitan Club and the Lagos Dining Club, a trustee of Fezoman (Nigerian Federation of Free Export Zone Managers)....


Luk lived in various countries in Europe and Africa for longer periods and was an active member of Round Table, Kiwanis and Rotary. In his younger years he also played volleyball on the highest Belgian level.

Mr. Mohamed El Moustapha OULD ELEYA

Mr. Mohamed El Moustapha OULD ELEYA is currently the General Manager of SAMIA, a Kuwaiti-Mauritanian company specialized in gypsum and plaster. Over the past years, he held various positions in Mauritania, USA,
Canada, and France.

 

He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from ENIG (Gabes, Tunisia), a M.S. and Ph.D. in Food Science and Biotechnology from INPL (Nancy, France) and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA). He is fluent in French, English, and Arabic and he is the author of more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and technical papers in the
areas of chemistry, food science, and rheology.

Fernando is currently the Sales Manager in charge of the CEMENGAL´s operations in Middle East and African Regions. Thanks to his personal skills and deep international network, Fernando has reached major achievements for CEMENGAL with regards to market penetration, increase of key accounts and project references.

 

In   In the past, Fernando has been involved as a Project Manager on the construction of a FTK grinding station for LAFARGE Tanger BK6, Morocco. He also worked as a Project Manager for several industrial, mining and consultancy projects based in London, Madrid, Bahrain and Dubai Offices.

 

H    He completed his Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) at Instituto de Empresa, IE Business School, Madrid, Spain in 2011 and his degree in Industrial Engineer MEng at the University of Saragossa (Spain).  He has lived for professional reasons in the United Kingdom, Spain, Morocco and in the Middle East Region (Bahrain and Dubai).

Dr. George Dawson-Ahmoah

Dr George Dawson-Ahmoah is a professional Marketer and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana. Since 2006, he is the Strategy and Corporate Affairs Director of Ghacem Limited a subsidiary of Heidelberg Cement Group.

He has been with Ghacem Limited for the past 20 years and before this current position, he has also worked as the Marketing Director for almost 6 years. Prior to joining Ghacem Limited, he was with the Ghana Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority for 7 years. He is also currently, the Chairman, of the Association of Ghana, Industries, Tema Region, Ghana. This is an Association that advocates for all the local industries in Ghana. He also doubles up as the Chairman of the Cement Manufacturers Association of Ghana, a leading voice for the Cement Manufacturers in Ghana.

He serves on the Board of various public institutions including the National Council on Tertiary Education and the Ghana shippers Authority.

Dr. Ini J. Urua

Dr. Ini Urua is a Senior Vice President of Africa Finance Corporation in charge of East and Southern Africa regions. Previously, he was a Senior Vice President and Head of Heavy Industries and Telecoms of Africa Finance Corporation. He served as Division Manager in African Development Bank Group in charge of development of multi-country infrastructure projects and programs across Africa. He was the chief architect of the NEPAD Infrastructure program.

 

He worked for more than a decade with BOC Group plc, a world renowned industrial gases company in England, in Process Development and Design, Technology Marketing and Management, Strategic Planning, and Technology Transfer.

Ini sits on the Boards of a number of companies.

 

Ini has published papers and made numerous contributions in process development and process engineering, as well as infrastructure development in Africa. Ini is widely travelled, He has travelled to, and worked in, nearly all the countries of Africa, through Europe, across North America and through Asia and South East Asia.

 

Ini holds a honours bachelors degree (1st Class honours) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ife, Nigeria, a Masters and Doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, London and an MBA in International Business Management from the European Business School, Paris. He is a member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, UK, and a chartered and registered Engineer in England and Wales.
