Ms. Helen McGeough

Helen has worked in consultancy for nineteen years, with previous experience in the IT industry. 
Helen is a Business Studies graduate from Nottingham Trent University. 
She joined what is now PCI Wood Mackenzie in 2004, supporting the client base with market analysis and custom research for both virgin and recycled PET markets. 
Helen now leads the activity to support to the RPET chain worldwide with a wide network of contacts including collection agencies, all major reclaimers, technology suppliers, machine manufacturers, industry associations, government bodies and major brand owners. 
Helen’s key role is to lead research and analysis for all aspects of PET recycling, its place in the increasingly important agenda for sustainability of the entire supply chain and its fusion with the growing global focus on the Circular Economy. In line with this, Helen is developing research and insight into the recycling of other polymers and materials used in packaging.

Graduation in Philosophy and Politics at Warwick University has been followed by over 40 years experience in the plastics recycling sector. Initially as Director of a family business, running a Polythene film recycling plant at Castleford and subsequently as Commercial Manager for what has become Biffa Polymers and then Purchasing Director of Linpac Recycling, now Regain Polymers,  both  involved in the recycling of post consumer packaging waste.     
Having thought to retire in 2014, a conversation at an event like this led to employment with WRAP as their Sector Specialist on Plastics

Francis Pascal

After engineering studies completed by an MBA, Francis PASCAL began his career in the building products sector in 1974 (Insulation, particles and plywood boards, plastics pipes).

In 1990, he joined Monoplast (now Coveris) to become CEO. This company, leader in its markets, produces rigid packaging for the food industry.

In 1995, he took on European responsibilities by becoming CEO of the "Rigid Packaging" division of Autobar Group (extrusion/thermoforming and injection with the following polymers : PET, PS, PP, PLA, multilayers).

In 2006, he created FP Consulting, specialized in environmental issues  related to packaging and bought a part of Huhtamaki Group (XPS trays) in France and Portugal.

Since 2006, Francis has a consultancy activity for recyclers, packers, packaging recovery organizations, but also for packaging companies. He also has operation activities in Morocco.

He was President  of Elipso 1998 - 2002. Since 2007 he is also Vice President Environment for Elipso.

Martin Stephan

Martin Stephan joined CARBIOS early 2017 as the company was entering a new phase of its development, having successfully achieved a 5 year and multi-million collaborative R&D program and moving to industrialization.

Prior to joining CARBIOS, Martin Stephan held several senior international positions at Du Pont de Nemours, Chemours and at the chemical branch of the French Oil & Gaz major, Total. He worked in France, Germany, Italy and in Switzerland, where he is currently residing.

Andreas Stoiber

After a business education, Andreas Stoiber was studying Plastics Engineering in Vienna and the UK and joined the Industry right away. His experience comprises 17 years in the plastics extrusion industry as Project Manager and subsequently as Area Sales Manager. The past 10 years he was working with leading recycling technologies, predominantly in PET -decontamination, -SSP and -extrusion. Within viscotec he is the responsible Area Sales Manager for the Asian region.

Nicholas Mockett is a corporate financier and has focussed on the packaging industry for 20 years. His experience includes leveraged buy-outs (including MBOs/MBIs), mergers, acquisitions and disposals, public company takeovers and public to privates, refinancings and restructurings. He has worked on dozens of deals, around the globe, worth over €5bn, and has been active in every substrate from rigid packaging to flexible to fibre and in consumer and industrial applications ranging from pharmaceutical packaging to food and beverage to bulk chemicals.

With over twenty years of experience in sustainability leadership, Lubna is responsible for driving sustainability within the Klöckner Pentaplast/LINPAC Food and Consumer Packaging Division, and collaborating with the value chain, industry associations and other key stakeholders to address global challenges.  Sustainability challenges include carbon mitigation, food waste reduction, resource conservation, use of sustainable materials and recycling, and designing for a closed loop system.  Lubna has held similar roles at the Sealed Air Corporation and Diversey, focussing on how sustainability can meet market needs; ultimately working towards a circular economy.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar Gera

Mr Rajesh Gera had joined Reliance Industries Limited - PET Division in '97 in their Technical Services Division in Mumbai, India. He is now working as AVP - Business Development and is responsible for development and promotion of New Applications and Products & the Sustainability initiatives. The PET development projects include 'Barrier PET, Dairy, Edible Oil, Pharma and APET/CPET applications' among others. Some of the PET/APET products developed jointly with the brand-owners had won Packaging Star awards in India.

He also works closely with AIPMA/ICPE & other national level bodies in India to address the recycling concerns. Prior to joining Reliance, he had worked in the Technical Services Division in LG Polymers (Polystyrene & EPS) and in Market Development Division of FGP (FRP products). He is B. Tech in Plastics Technology from HBTI Kanpur, India & with a total work experience of 31 years plus.

Jez Blake

Jeremy Blake has spent most of his career in forensic science and specialised in crime scene science.  This has included time in both law enforcement and the Home Office .  His work operating and developing technical processes led him to polymer recycling where he is now the Head of Polymer Recycling for Viridor Waste Management.  He has been a lecturer in Forensic Chemistry at the University of Kent and is passionate about the benefits of recycling
