Mr. Franck Vitte

Franck Vitté is heading the Asia region for BlueSolutions (listed company subsidiary of Bolloré Group) which gathers all the companies providing services in energy storage optimization in mobility and stationary markets. He is also Managing Director of BlueSG which operating a 100% electric car sharing programme with eventually 1000 EV and 2000 charging points across the Singapore, making the city-state the second largest city worldwide for EV car sharing. BlueSG will also host an open innovation platform available to industry partners and research institutes.

Franck joined the Bolloré group in Singapore in 2000 as Managing Director of IER Pte Ltd, an airport and airline IT solutions provider for passenger processing in Asia & Middle East. In this position, he has built a strong expertise in managing complex projects improving flows for goods and people. He is also in charge of BlueSolutions’ regional activities since 2013. With more than 15 years spent in Singapore, he has gathered a solid understanding of the country’s societal environment.

Prior to this assignment, Franck has been employed in Paris by Thales and Sagem where he held various sales and management positions.

Mr. Terence Siew

Terence Siew is the Regional Manager at Greenlots, a global provider of open-standards based technology solutions for electric vehicles (EVs) and grid management. He oversees business operations in Singapore, and is responsible for business development for the regional markets of Thailand and Malaysia. His role also requires him to engage closely with key stakeholders and partners in this fast-growing industry.

Terence first joined Greenlots in 2011 as a Product Engineer, specializing in hardware and circuit design for embedded electronics in EV charging hardware. He is a co-inventor of a US-filed patent for smart grid enabled charging of electric vehicles. He later rose to become the Product Manager where he play a more central role in implementing turn-key technology solutions.

Mr. Junill Yoon

Junill Yoon headed the ESS business of Hyosung Corporation, which is the largest energy storage system integrator in Korea as well as the largest electrical equipment provider in Korea with annual revenues of $12 billion. While serving Hyosung, he is also supporting and advising several energy storage related governmental organizations, and serves as the ESS Committee Chair of Korea Smartgrid Association. At KETEP(Korea institute of energy technology evaluation and planning) he also serves as an expert advisor, and has planned several MW scale energy storage demonstration program and evaluated several lithium ion battery energy storage system R&D project in Korea. Also he planned the demonstration project for making market mechanisms and proper regulation signals for energy limited resources for the Korea’s power grid with KPX(Korea power exchange). Before doing ESS business he supported merger and acquisition practices conducting valuations for the overseas investment of Hyosung’s transformer and switchgear business and other opportunities for energy related business such as fuel cell, photovoltaic, wind turbine business and etc. Further, he had a full spectrum of experience from planning to developing and operating of 1.6MW solar power plant in Korea. Before joining Hyosung Corporation he invented 48 patents related to a battery system for the electric vehicle with pouch type lithium ion battery including module and packaging design in 3 years. Concept design of unit battery module for the battery system in the GM Volt and Hyundai Sonata Hybrid was design by him and his colleague at LG Chemical. From 2015 he is identifying and evaluating new business opportunities for Hyosung Corporation in the energy and IT industries.

Mr. Wilhelm van Butselaar

Wilhelm van Butselaar has worked in the hybrid-, storage and minigrid area for over fifteen years. Previous roles in the industry included Product Manager for off grid inverters, installer and trainer for remote electricity supply systems in the USA, across Europe and Australia as well as Sales Director for solar and storage applications in South East Asia. Past experience includes work at an institute for renewable energy in Spain and three years in the wind turbine sector. Wilhelm also has five years experience in the areas of high voltage and high power in railway applications, residential and public buildings. He studied power electronics with an emphasis on wind turbines and obtained a masters degree in electronics based on renewable energies and solar hybrid systems. Wilhelm is currently the area manager for energy storage applications at Warsila Singapore, developing and supporting projects and applications in the mini grid sector, grid connected storage applications as well as special applications for storage in the energy supply sector in Middle East, South East Asia, Australia and the Pacific Region based on this expertise.

Mr. Amine Kamel

Amine Kamel has been the head of Bosch Automotive Electronics Southeast Asia since October 2014. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for all automotive electronics-related activities in the ASEAN region. Amine gained deep insights into the trends and key drivers in the international automotive market from his previous roles within Bosch’s automotive sector across automotive aftermarket components, diagnosis, electronics, fuel injection and powertrain technologies. Most recently, he has been dedicating himself to the development and expansion of electric 2 wheeler systems in the region.

Amine obtained his Master’s degree in electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich in Germany.

Assoc Prof. Pongpan Kaewtatip

Dr.Pongpan Kaewtatip received his PhD from Nippon Institute of Technology (NIT), Japan in 2000. He has been working at Faculty of Engineering, KMUTT until the present. Now, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He had been the head of department from 2010-2014. He is also working for the Society of Automotive Engineers, Thailand (TSAE) for several years. Now he is the Vice President for R&D of TSAE. He has also served as Vice president for research promotion of the Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT) since 2016.

His research interest includes metal forming technology, as well as the forming of new frontier materials such as SMA, biomedical materials, etc. He is also interested in the field of energy policy, renewable energy especially in transport sector.

Dr.Pongpan has been working with The Thailand Research Fund (TRF) since 2014. Now he is the Director of the Industry Division of TRF.

Mr. Kunat Tharasrisuthi

Kunat Tharasrisuthi is Senior Analyst, Asia Powertrain at LMC Automotive, a leading provider of global automotive industry market intelligence and forecasts with offices in the UK, France, Germany, the US, China and Thailand. Forecasting. He is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and forecasting the light vehicle powertrain in Thailand and Japan. He is also in charge of analyzing the ASEAN electric vehicle market in the LMC Global Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Forecast. This service provides model-level analysis in the field of personal electric mobility.

Kunat received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat university, Thailand. After his graduation, he received the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) scholarship and graduated with a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan.

Mr. Yutaka Sanada

Yutaka Sanada head of Nissan’s Asia & Oceania (A&O) operations. In this role he is responsible for growing Nissan’s A&O business in 15+ countries across the region including key markets like Thailand, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, Brunei, Hong Kong, Indochina (Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam), Malaysia, Myanmar and Singapore.

He was appointed to the current role on 1 April 2016. Mr Sanada joined Nissan in 1991 and since held various roles of increasing responsibility across multiple functions, including logistics, sales as well as production and supply. He experienced a variety of management and executive roles in the company, including, Renault-Nissan Alliance, Nissan Motorsports (NISMO) as well as the OEM and sports programs.

As a leader, Mr Sanada is highly-driven and a strong team communicator, motivator and collaborator. He is a firm believer in the value of developing and growing employees while constantly challenging all colleagues to think of creative, unique and new ways to further enhance Nissan’s services and offerings.

Mr Sanada’s many achievements at Nissan include launching the Dayz series and establishing it as a core model for the Japanese market; reviving the GT-R; and brokering a strategic partnership with Daimler, which is now in its seventh year.

Dr. Haohan Wu joined Zoomwe Science and Technology Co., Ltd. in 2017 as a senior consultant to develop North America business and establish world-class international collaboration with well-known laboratory. Before this assignment, he used to work for Pulead group who is one of leading cathode makers in China. He obtained the Bachelor of Science degree in Material Science and Engineering department from University of Science and Technology of China in 2007 and Ph. Mr. Somphote Ahunai

Mr Somphote Ahunai is Chief Executive Officer of Energy Absolute Public Company Limited (EA), member of SET50 listed company on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree from the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburg in the USA, he began his career in the USA Financial Market. When he was 28 years old, Somphote was assigned to lead a project to acquire Yuanta Securities, a small security broker in Thailand. As the youngest Managing Director, he developed the systems in place, along with his strategy, he helped move Yuanta Securities into a leading position within 3 years.

Shifting his focus to the energy sector, in 2006 Somphote acquired a biodiesel plant then modernized by using new technology and renamed to be Energy Absolute Public Company Limited. After achieves leading EA to be top three largest biodiesel producer, he expands into solar power and wind power with the total capacity of 664 MW, growing EA to become the largest renewable energy company in ASEAN.

Though he leads EA to grow far more than anticipated and, Somphote’s leadership philosophy never allows him to stand still, his focus is on Energy Absolute, and how it may grow in the years to come especially in energy storage. Mr. Ted Jankowski

Ted joined PlugIt as Head of APAC based in Singapore in August 2017. New to the EV charging business and under the guidance of the CEO, Tommi Saarela, he quickly ramped up his knowledge by completing research for the EV charging business for the APAC market 2017-2020. He was thrown in at the deep end by representing PlugIt at a cross China tour with Silicon Valley’s PlugandPlay, a market access program in Vietnam with Finland’s foreign ministry, green energy technology missions in Singapore, Philippines and South Korea with the European Union and now, finally in 2018, he is able to get down to business!

Prior to PlugIT, he was the Head of Customer Logistics Solutions, APAC, at Nokia where he specialized in strategy creation, development of business operations, project management and execution, gaining 15 years of work experience.

He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth, MSc in Management of Technology from the National University of Singapore and BSc (Hons) in Computing Systems from Nottingham Trent University.
