Ali Muhammad Lakdawala lead the procurement division in charge for Edible Oils & Fats at India’s premier FMCG conglomerate, ITC Ltd, India.
Prior to joining ITC Ltd, worked as a Senior Commodity Research Analyst and Trader at  Anand Rathi Commodities Ltd, India the only analyst given the opportunity to operate with three different commodity verticals (Energy Market, Edible Oil & Oilseeds and Spices). Previous work experience also includes as Research Analyst with renowned organization, Unit Trust of India (UTI) Commodities.
This culminated in numerous international report publications, being quoted in various business press (Bloomberg, Dowjones, Reuters, Economic Times, Platts, etc), invited as a Guest Speaker for Commodity Markets at various Global Conferences and Visiting lecturer at Mumbai University, India.

Rino currently serves as Deputy Secretary General of Indonesia Palm Oil Smallholder's Association (APKASINDO).
He is also a member of working group in the Indonesia Palm Oil Platform (FOKSBI-UNDP). 
and  a member of Smallholders empowerment and replanting program, Oil Palm Plantation Fund Management Agency
He graduated from petroleum engineer Trisakti University in Jakarta and achieved his master degree from  University in Riau.

Fadhil Hasan


Fadhil Hasan joined Asian Agri group in 2017 as the Director of Corporate Affairs. Prior to joining Asian Agri, Fadhil has more than thirty years’ experience in conducting economic policy research and consultancy in macroeconomics, industries, agricultural and public policies, both in government and private sectors. He graduated from Bogor Agricultural University, earned an MSc from Department of Economics, Iowa State University, USA and finished his Ph.D. program at the University of Kentucky, USA majoring in Agricultural Economics.
He also has an extensive experience in the palm oil industry where he was the Director of Sustainability at the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC), a newly established institution initiated by the main palm oil producing countries (Indonesia and Malaysia) and Executive Director of the Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA).

Dato' Tony Peng, has more than 19 years of experience in the agriculture-related business. He spent substantial
time on R&D in the area of agricultural biotechnology. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
from the China University of Science and Technology, and an MBA Degree from the University of Honolulu,
Hawaii, USA. He is also pursuing a PhD in Bio-Composting Technology in University of Putra Malaysia
(UPM). He is currently the advisor of Institute of Bioproduct Development under University Technology Malaysia

Rezal Kusumaatmadja


Rezal Kusumaatmadja is the COO of PT Rimba Makmur Utama. He has more than 15 years of experience in natural resource management, community-based planning, forest conservation and sustainable forest management. Rezal is also actively involved in the international REDD+ initiatives serving as an advisory board member to the Climate and Land Use Alliance (CLUA) from 2010 until 2017 and a member of the REDD+ Social Environmental Standards (REDD+ SES) international standards committee from 2009 to 2013.  Rezal holds a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Hawaii and a bachelor’s in city and regional planning from Cornell University

Peter de Haan


Peter de Haan works at the Asia office of Aidenvironment in Bogor Indonesia. As Director of Sustainable Landscapes Programs he is responsible for the development and implementation of sustainable landscape programs, with an emphasis on the oil palm and forestry landscapes in Indonesia. Peter holds degrees in Agricultural Economics and in Tropical Agriculture. His working experience of 40 years spans agriculture, natural resources management, landscape management, water management and institutional development worldwide.

Dr. Suan-Choo Cheah


Dr. Cheah was appointed Chief Scientific Officer of ACGT Sdn Bhd in August 2006 to spearhead the establishment of the company as a centre of excellence in genomic science.  Prior to joining ACGT, she served 23 years in various research positions in the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), retiring in 2004 as the Head of MPOB’s Advanced Biotechnology and Breeding Centre (ABBC).

Dr. Cheah obtained her BSc and MSc degrees in Genetics from the University of Malaya in 1973 and 1976, respectively.  She graduated with a PhD in Microbiological Chemistry from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK in 1982, under the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship Award.  Following this, she served as a post-doctoral Research Associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the US.  In 2004, Dr. Cheah earned an Executive MBA degree from the Asian Institute of Management (AIM).

Dr. Cheah has been managing research projects in the areas of microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, genetic engineering and genomics in the last 36 years.  In the 1980s, she pioneered research in oil palm biotechnology when plant biotechnology was still in its infancy.  Her research findings have appeared in over 120 scientific papers in journals, books and conference proceedings, and she has been named as co-inventor in eight patents filed.  During her career, she supervised 6 PhD and 14 MSc students.  In 2003, she was made a Fellow of the Malaysian Scientific Association (FMSA) for her contributions to science and technology in Malaysia.

Dr. Tan graduated from University of Nottingham with a PhD in Bioscience. He specialises in plant disease resistance particularly in oil palm. He is currently the Head of Planting Material Division in FGV R&D where he is responsible for the release of advanced planting materials of oil palm with special traits. He has more than 15 years of experience in oil palm R&D
