Oleochemicals Outlook | 22-23 August 2013, Jakarta |
|
The global oleochemical industry is undergoing realignment due to shifting raw material demand, trend to go green and use environmentally-friendly products but most importantly because of market opportunities presented by emerging countries like China. Chinese oleo chemical companies are key suppliers to consumer goods giants in the US and Europe. According to the China Cleaning Industry Association, the country's oleochemicals industry expects healthy growth next year despite uncertainty in the global economy. The Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) projects China's oleo ingredient imports to reach about six million MT by 2014, due to a steady increase in demand. Palm oil is a major feedstock used in the oleochemicals industry and China is one of Malaysia's major importers of the commodity. However, factors such as the price of raw material and rising labour costs have somewhat strained China's Oleochemical domestic enterprises, the industry believes it will continue to grow next year due to rising demand. To know more about China's oleochemical industry join Mr. Song Zhi Guo as he throws light on: CHINA'S OLEOCHEMICALS MARKET & DOWNSTREAM DEMAND In addition, Mr. David Kao, CEO of Sinarmas Oleochemicals will also be chairing Day 1 of the conference.
