Abstract

Palm oil is the first oil produced, consumed and traded in the Central African Republic. Despite the existence of ecological potential support this culture, CENTRAPALM fails to meet domestic demand is increasing in consumption of palm oil and raw material for the food industry.

Production area undergoes regular drastic reduction due to aging palms. With a total area of 7,750 ha, the CENTRAPALM exploits only 2550 ha lack of funds. Obsolescence of the boiler of the plant leads to a drop in the theoretical capacity of oil extraction from 10 to 5 tons / hour. The turbine in poor condition causes a high fuel consumption.

The various military and political crises that have shaken the country in recent years have disrupted the functioning of the country's economy and the lack of financial means to rejuvenate the planting of palm trees and renew materials plant are that the Government can not not support the financing of CENTRAPALM. With this, the search for sustainable funding partnership is considered to revitalize CENTRAPALM.
