Indonesia's biodiesel consumption is expected to rise in 2014 due to the introduction of a new blending regulation aimed at using more palm-based biodiesel to reduce the country's oil imports. And Pertamina is likely to be a frontrunner in realizing this government mandate. The state-owned company has already secured approximately 2.4 million kiloliters, or 45% of the 5.4 million kl of biodiesel it sought in a tender for deliveries in 2014 and 2015. Moreover, Petramina is also eyeing a third tender that will further help the company buy palm oil for blending into biodiesel. Aptly Pertamina's biodiesel plans will take centre stage at this August summit. For that reason, we urge you to mark the dates in your diary and make early plans to partake in the high-level discussions and networking. Key Highlights at 6th Palm Oil Asia Summit:
