Refinery reconfiguration for margins improvement
By 2015, Asia’s share of global fuel demand is projected to
increase to 30%, particularly for middle distillates. To match
the soaring demand for fuel from Asia and
rest of the world, a spate of new refineries, with a total capacity of 7
million barrels per day, has been announced to be built over the next 5
years. Half of this new capacity will be in Asia.
