In my previous emails, I shared the Day 1 agenda of the “Strategic Corporate Direction” workshop led by Dr. John Austin on 3 – 4 December in Singapore.

Today, I’m thrilled to share the highlights of Day 2 (4 Dec) with you.

The second day will begin with you sharing, evaluating and assessing the result from scenario planning of the group project exercise you did at the end of Day 1.

After that John will proceed to focus on Core Competencies. While exploring the concept in context of the energy and petrochemical industry, John will discuss how you can “Identify, Evaluate & Measure” these ‘core competencies’.

He will also touch on Segmentation, defining the concept, and providing insight on Strategic vs. Traditional segmentation in the Energy and Petrochemical business.

These focus sessions covering Core Competencies and Segmentation, will set the stage for John’s coverage of the final stages of the Strategic planning process, which I will touch on in my next email.
