Ciaran has over 16 years’ experience in LNG, gases, power, shipping, and heavy industry. Prior to co-founding HySights, Ciaran was the Global Director for S&P Global’s LNG and low-emission gas business, leading the department from Singapore.

Ciaran established the trading norms for LNG markets in APAC, and created and oversaw a trade platform booking $7 billion worth of physical LNG trade annually.

Ciaran has performed project due diligence and asset valuation on biomass-to-X projects; created long-term price forecasts for bio-LNG; and performed financial modelling on bio-LNG plants globally, used by investors and offtakers to make go- or no-go investment decisions.

Ciaran is an active participant in government working groups and events. Ciaran’s thought leadership has been showcased at conferences such as Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) LNG Producer-Consumer Conference, and Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW).

Ciaran participated as a market expert in Singapore’s Gas Market Advisory Panel (GMAP) to determine regulatory direction, advising the regulator on clean molecule policy, including on chain-of-custody models.
