From marketing world-class music acts to now, a world-class food delivery company, Laura Kantor has worked in marketing & strategy for more than 10 years, with experience in the UK, Australia and SE Asia. She currently presides as the Head of Marketing and Sustainability for foodpanda, Singapore’s leading food delivery company. Passionate about sustainability, Laura has spearheaded foodpanda’s Sustainability strategy, launching several initiatives which have transformed the F&B industry, notably around plastic, packaging & shark fin.
 
Prior to foodpanda, Laura set up the SEA hub for Bupa International Healthcare, before moving to Ogilvy & Mather, working on their largest global account, IBM.  In addition to marketing, Laura is also a published children's book author and on the board of advisors for Zero Waste SG.

Sandra Tostar has a master’s degree in Polymer Engineering from Kristianstad University and a PhD in Materials Science from Chalmers University of Technology. Her academic specialisation was in recycling of plastics from electrical and electronic waste (WEEE).
She has been working in several different sectors: in the packaging-, recycling- and automotive industry.
Her different roles includes: development engineer, project manager and technical specialist.

Carlos Monreal is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Plastic Energy Limited, the world’s leading chemical recycling company, which has its technology HQ in the Innovation Centre, London and industrial plants in Almeria and Seville, Spain.
He has significant experience as a CEO and has been a serial entrepreneur for more than 30 years. He was the founder and CEO of Inlandgeo, a company supplying high tech electronic instruments and turnkey solutions in multiple industries for 24 years, and later President of Abasol for seven years. This company offered consultancy and EPC solutions on renewable energy and efficiency.
 
Carlos is also founder and CEO of Greenland Capital, a company with the vision to identify and develop disruptive technologies that provide sustainable and economical solutions to the growing challenges of waste management and alternative energy management.

He studied Business Administration at the University of Navarra and Engineering at the University Polytechnic of Madrid and returned there to study waste management in 2014.

Klaus Wohnig, Spokesman of the Board of APK AG, has more than 20 years of management experience in various international companies. Amongst others, he has expertise in designing sustainable business and innovation strategies, in particular in plastics recycling technologies. In 2012, he joined APK, where he works with a team of more than hundred employees on the development of Newcycling®, a new recycling technology that recycles polyolefin-based packaging plastics through a solvent-based physical recycling process to such a high quality, that it can be used in packaging applications again.

Rob is currently the Technical Business Development Manager for Visy rPLASTICS, based in Sydney. He was previously the European General Manager for Nextek based in London for 7 years during which time he was a lead project manager on major recycling projects in Europe, the UK, Nth America Middle East and Australia.

 

Rob is a Polymer Engineer with over 16 years experience in the recycling, packaging and polymer processing industries and has experience with plant design and use of recycled plastics in a variety of applications and a thorough understanding of current trends and new developments. Robert has authored key reports on recycling technologies and sustainable packaging developments and has co-authored a special edition paper on recycling of plastics for the Royal Society in the UK.

 

He holds degrees in Polymer Engineering, a Masters in Engineering and a Masters in Corporate Sustainability and Environmental Management. Robert was the President of the Society of Plastics Engineers in Australia-New Zealand (SPE-ANZ) in 2012 and is currently acting as the Vice-President of SPE-ANZ.

Thereafter, she moved to global FMCG companies where she dedicated over 5 years to research, product development and launch. After completion of her MBA with distinction, she took the plunge into start-ups and fundraising by organizing the first-ever startup competition for the University of Manchester in Singapore as a proud alumnus. As part of Close the Loop’s commitment to the resource recovery, recycling and circular economy sector, Peter takes an active role and is the current President of the Australian Council of Recycling (ACOR).
Peter joined Close the Loop (CtL) in May 2014 after more than 20 years in the IT industry. He has a broad experience in senior sales leadership roles working with Ricoh, Lexmark and Computershare. Close the Loop has become a recognised leader in the development of innovative asphalt and sprayseal additives using recycled polymers to make high performance roads, and Peter has led the engagement with all levels of Government and corporates to champion circular economy solutions.

Joi Danielson is Systemiq’s Director for Ocean Plastics Asia and an internationally recognised expert in the field of ocean plastics. She leads the STOP Project in 3 cities and the Bali Partnership. While an Engagement Manager at McKinsey, she worked in ten countries throughout Asia and Africa on a variety of topics. She was also a McKinsey Global Institute Fellow on disruptive technology and an Ocean Conservancy Senior Fellow. After leading two ocean plastic white papers for the Ocean Conservancy (Stemming the Tide and The Next Wave), Joi joined SYSTEMIQ to build a team and program that solves ocean plastic on the ground.

Christine Halim studied Technical Industrial Management in Surabaya University. The business owner of Langgeng Jaya Group is engaged in the plastic recycling industry.

The beginnings of plastic recycling started with collecting plastic waste in a garage in Surabaya and a scales.

In this garage the business started with Export PET Flakes to China, Dacron Importer for Indonesian market, and finally gradually invested the machine and started producing non woven fiber and exported imported recycled plastic from PET Bottle.

Finally within 15 years this business has developed into a business group of plastic recycling industry in various regions in Indonesia.

Mohamad Bijaksana Junerosano (Sano) is a seasoned speaker for social innovation, entrepreneurship, and environmental waste management from Banyuwangi, Indonesia. He stands as the founder of numerous Green initiatives since 2005, such as Greeneration Indonesia and the Indonesia Zero Waste 2020 Movement. He has also been involved in numerous roles in many projects about environmental or waste issues.

Alarmed with the state of waste in Jakarta, Sano, felt compelled to bring about change. Sano then established Waste4Change, a waste management service company that not only provides garbage transportation and sorting services but also strategic services to companies in Indonesia.
"We established Waste4Change as a solution in the form of a responsible waste management service company. The number '4' in the name Waste4Change denotes four areas, namely:

 Consult, provides consultations based on in-depth research and training on responsible waste management;

Campaign, provides education to companies, residences, schools and communities about the importance of responsible waste management;

Collect, collects waste from residential or commercial areas to be brought to the Waste4Change office to be sorted;

Create, collaborates with trusted partners to convert waste into recycled materials
