Also in plastic packaging we here learned to work with injection moulding, injection stretch blow moulding and other techniques. But most and for all stated to understand how tooling works. In 2013 he joined BillerudKorsnäs and worked on projects as the paper bottle and several concepts for FibreForm®. Two years ago he switched to Holmen Iggesund and is again responsible for formable concepts. He also leads the department Business solutions.

 

Throughout his career Hein has always been looking for innovations in cooperation with machine suppliers and designers. The concepts found their way to the market because brand owners supported the developments. “Every innovation starts with a dream and if you work with the right people and partners, it is a joy to develop sustainable packaging products.

Larry Hutchinson began his career in the paper industry in 1979 and holds degrees in Chemical Engineering and Pulp & Paper Science from the University of Maine. He has a diverse background in manufacturing, technical consulting, market and technology development across a broad range of packaging grades.

With 25 years in global roles, 15 years living in Asia, Larry has a broad perspective on the global packaging market.  In his current role, he is responsible for global market development for Solenis’ consumer packaging portfolio, globalization of Solenis’ ecological barriers technology acquired with Topchim in March 2018, and the development of new technology to meet the needs of molded fiber producers.

In 1996 he joined the Naintsch Mineralwerke (today Imerys) as manager for pitch and stickies control. In his further career he was Senior market manager Paper Americas, laboratory manager, technical director paper and Innovation manager. In the last few years he worked on projects for barrier applications, pulp bleaching, runnability improvement and moulded fibres. Peter is the author of numerous publications and patents.

In its role he is also Member of the Board of few organizations related to the paper industry (Conlegno - Monitoring Organisation for the EU timber regulation, of Eucepa – the European association of the paper technicians, Istituto Italiano Imballaggio -Italian Packaging Association and AFC – Italian association for vocational education in the paper industry). He took part and/or chaired few industry working groups and committees at National, European and International level related to environment, climate, circular economy, food contact, forestry, research &development and technical standardisation. He is also author of publications and guidelines for the paper industry.

Dr. Solovyov has authored multiple scientific papers and patents in the field of active and passive barrier packaging. Ton is an active member of the Dutch Packaging Professionals Association (VNV), a member of the advisory committee of the most important Benelux packaging magazine, Verpakkings Management and on the board of the European Co-Packers Association, ECPA.
