Juan Francisco Galvan Acosta, a seasoned professional in the field of Chemical Engineering and Business Management, is the founder and President of Direct Pack Recycling. He obtained his MBA from the University of Phoenix, Arizona.
He is in the plastics industry for more than 30 years with flexible, thermoformed packaging, extrusion and PET Recycling/washing plants, on early stages of PCR PET the development of Flake washing suppliers for extrusion in Mexico, establishing standards in the industry, then equipment development, start-up and operational improvements, developing PET PCR product lines for high-volume customers in Mexico and the USA.
In Business Management; building the converting and material utilization base to make PCR PET profitable and resource efficient with the correct capital expenditure in place. Regarding the Recycling Washing plants, construction of 6 facilities, last ones with proprietary developments to obtain a “super clean” flake.Development of the technical capability to use very high contents of post-consumer trays, maintaining the “Super clean” quality with high yields in raw material usage. He has also developed and secured a consistence base of clam bails suppliers in the US .plus Tray to tray technology development.
