Developing Battery Solutions for Tomorrow

He is currently the Director of Strategic Business Development of TES Sustainable Battery Solutions.  He led the team to build the first Lithium-Ion Battery closed-loop recycling plant of SEA in Singapore.

George joined TES in 2016 as General Manager for TES Operations.  Since 2018, he has since been working on developing Battery recycling, the second life Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and other battery solutions. Prior to that, George was director of operations in Akzo Noble, powder coatings business in Singapore, where he was responsible for 11 performance coatings manufacturing facilities throughout Asia Pacific.  He was managing director for Valspar packaging coating business in Asia Pacific. 

He also has more than 15 years of experience in IT business. He held progressively more responsible in Engineering and Engineering Management positions with Hewlett-Packard Singapore and its spin-off Agilent. 

He has an MBA from the University of Chicago and double Masters’ degree in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics.

His team looks at the impact on raw materials due to the rapid development of advanced battery technologies. He has co-written articles on nickel in EV’s, and a cobalt and lithium paper. Prior to McKinsey, Ken was the global head of metals and mining research for Bloomberg Intelligence. Mr. Hoffman began his career at Prudential Securities, covering base and precious metals as well as the global steel industry, and headed Prudential's global steel research team for five years.  Mr. Hoffman has been widely sought after for his engaging talks about industry trends, speaking at the MB EV battery materials conference, Lithium Supply Conference, China Mining Congress for the past 4 years, Natural Resources Forum. He is a regular speaker on Bloomberg TV, Kitco, and BNN Canada.
A CFA charter holder, Mr. Hoffman holds a BS in finance from Syracuse University and an MBA from Duke University.

Mr. Meseldzija holds a BSc. in Mining Engineering from the University of Alberta and is a registered engineer with the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. He obtained his Management of Technology MBA from the Beedie School of Business with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
