He is currently in charge of compostable compounds and compostable products business of the group.

 

After receiving his PhD at the Condensed Matter Physics laboratory at Ecole Polytechnique in Lozere, France on Science Materials, he has worked several years for a Finnish innovative company in Paris as R&D scientist. In 2017, he came back to Vietnam and join An Phat Holdings' family. Since then, he became the director of R&D center and have led the R&D team to develop compostable compounds and compostable products for all members of An Phat Holdings.

 

In 2021, he became CEO of PBAT AN PHAT, the company is currently leading the project to build the PBAT plant with a capacity of 30.000 MTpa in Hai Phong, Vietnam.

https://www.cmtevents.com/EVENTDATAS/WEB220101/speakers/RowanWilliams.jpgRowan has extensive experience in the practical implementation of certified compostable biopolymer solutions ranging from organic waste source separation, the incorporation of recycled organics such as composts and soil amendments to improve soil health, the use of certified soil biodegradable mulch film and the merging of these applications for improving sustainability in horticulture and agriculture. Rowan has published several papers on these topics including Plasticulture, the international review magazine of plastics in agriculture and was recently nominated as one of the Top 60 most influential people in the packaging industry in Australia and New Zealand in a 2020 survey of industry by Packaging News (PKN).


He has more than 30 years’ experience in Asia Pacific in the agricultural, packaging, plastics, mining and general manufacturing industries, in roles spanning marketing, sales and operations with local and multinational corporations and has been with BASF since 2005.


Current external responsibilities
1. President, the Australasian Bioplastics Association, the peak industry body for the Bioplastics industry across ANZ and with global affiliations in Europe, the US and Asia.
2. Director, Australian Organics Recycling Association Limited, the peak industry body for organics recycling in Australia.

Plastics, and subsequently held the positions of S.E.A. Regional Sales and Polypropylene (Homopolymer) Business Manager in SABIC before joining NatureWorks. 

 

He is also a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt holder and skilled in Supply Chain management.  Ian graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelors’ Degree in Chemical Engineering, and holds a MBA from Imperial College London.

Richard is based in Singapore, having lived there for just under 6 years, and has previously spent 6.5 years with Amcor Ltd in various roles across Europe, Asia and Oceania, latterly as Sales & Marketing Director for Amcor’s food business in Asia and before that as General Manager – Sales, Marketing, Commercial, R&D for the Amcor New Zealand business.

The company has over 15 operations across five countries, driven by its commitment to creating innovation and value from farm to shelf. He was previously the Executive Director and Country Head, China for Banyan Tee Holdings Ltd, helping position the group as the leading luxury brand in China. Ren Hua previously worked with Bain & Company Inc in New York, Hong Kong, and China.
 
He currently serves on the board for Banyan Tree Holdings Ltd, the advisory board for the Asia Pacific Agri-Innovation Summit, and the International Advisory Council for Singapore Management University. Ren Hua is also a mentor to the Kairos ASEAN society and is actively involved in entrepreneurship and venture capital activities.
 
Ren Hua was nominated to be a part of the World Economic Forum Young Global Leader in 2018, and continues to be committed to developing solutions that will catalyze the SEA Green Economy, creating new platforms for shared value creation from farm to shelf.
