Holly Browne has been working in the Fashion Industry for over 13 years and spent 9 of those focusing on Sustainability and Ethical Compliance. She has spent time in-house (with retailers Ted Baker and Thomas Pink), where she was responsible for creating and implementing their sustainability strategies. Previously Head of Sustainable Product and Story at MADE-BY, she specializes in helping brands understand their sustainability impacts and make sense of the complex sustainability and ethical trading landscape. A consummate project manager, Holly has experience managing large, multi-stakeholder teams to deliver high-quality outputs.

Holly spends most of her time at Anthesis helping an array of fashion brands from all areas of the market, from UK fast fashion Etailers to large global brands like GAP Inc. Holly is also the Project Manager for Forum for the Future’s Cotton 2040 ‘Building Uptake’ workstream, working with Forum to engage and upskill fashion brands who have previously not engaged with sustainable fashion in how to source more sustainable cotton.

For years Erica van Doorn has worked at well known (IT) consulting firms. In 2008 she decided to make a radical move to work for not-for-profit organizations and contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive society. As a director of Fair Wear Foundation, she has spent 9 years improving labour conditions of people making our clothes in factories far away. In 2019 she shifted her focus to another part of the textile supply chain: heading Sympany, a textile collection and sorting organization in The Netherlands. In her capacity as director at Sympany she’s also chairing the shareholders of SaXcell, a chemical recycling solution for cotton.

Previous to unspun she started and grew a sustainability department in Bangladesh's largest export factory BEXIMCO, creating a mass production up-cycling on site for brands, and co-founded a social business dedicated to creating networks of suppliers for small to mid-size brands. She received her master's at Stanford University in Design Impact.

Sylvia Calvo BCN, is a sustainable and circular fashion firm, founded in 2015 in Barcelona. Its motto is "From Waste to Resource", and it follows principles and values of sustainability and circular economy. Its production is locally handmade using recycled materials, mainly original coffee bags, and sustainable materials with minimal environmental impact. His style is unique, elegant and distinctive. He co-founded the first association "Sustainable Fashion Barcelona" (MSBCN), bringing sustainable fashion closer to the general public,  a fashion with positive values, design and style in equal measure. Sylvia is now a member of the Gremi Artesà Textil de Catalunya,  ModaFAD, as well as a board member of PIMEC (SME) and its Circular Economy Commission.

The company allows customers to shop guilt free and do good for the environment, while looking fashionable and modern. As a 23 year old he moved to China, his 30 years experience in the fashion industry has made Bert van Son see the impact fast fashion has on the environment and made him believe that there is an alternative way. In 2012 he started the idea - “Lease A Jeans” - a concept that makes it possible for customers to use jeans and give them back after use. The approach allows customers to regularly renew their wardrobe, while MUD Jeans makes sure the materials will be recycled after use. Bert van Son knows about the challenges in today’s (fast) fashion industry and how he and his team try to implement the circle economy in the fashion industry.

Roosmarie Ruigrok is a sustainable fashion expert with more than thirty years of experience in the field of fashion. She knows exactly how the fashion industry works and has a great network of national and international contacts.
As a textile buyer, Roosmarie discovered her passion for establishing fair production- and supply chains. At the age of 28, she started her own company, Promax Corporate Fashion, to work on this vision. Roosmarie supplied specially designed corporate fashion to well recognized compagnies like Hema, Philips, RABOBank, Hotelplan and the Metropolitan Orchestra, to name a few. She designed and manufactured the exclusive high-end corporate fashion in her own atelier.
After selling her company, she worked as a CSR consultant for the Elsewear Foundation (Green is the new black), for Amnesty International, Fair Wear Foundation, Fairtrade and also she brought Fashion Revolution to the Netherlands in 2013 - 2020.
With her extensive knowledge of the (sustainable) fashion industry Roosmarie has contributed to the documentary ‘De slag om de klerewereld’, the TV-programme Tegenlicht and many other television- and radioprogrammes. At the moment she works on the European REFLOWproject programme and coordinates the Denim Deal Coalition in the Netherlands.

Making Change: How the LWG is driving improvement across the global leather supply chain

She joined the LWG in 2020, coming from adidas where she worked for several years, both at the headquarters in Germany and within the Sourcing organization in Asia. Most recently she was responsible for managing the adidas leather portfolio in the Footwear Material Sourcing team in Hong Kong. She holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering, and an M.Sc in Sustainable Energy Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
