From EPR to Market: Building Competitive, Traceable & Circular Packaging Value Chains
The race towards a circular plastics economy has never been more urgent, as governments across Asia accelerate Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) policies and tighten expectations around packaging waste, recycling, traceability and recycled-content claims.
In Indonesia, a stronger EPR framework for packaging is taking shape as the country looks to improve waste management and expand its circular economy. This raises important questions for brand owners, recyclers, packaging producers and waste-management stakeholders: how can EPR be implemented effectively, and what systems are needed to support collection, recycling and compliance?
The 15th Asia PET Series – Circular Plastics Packaging conference (11-13 November, Jakarta) will bring together key stakeholders across the plastics packaging, recycling, petrochemical, brand owner and circular economy value chains to discuss the regulatory, commercial and technical shifts shaping Asia’s recycled plastics market.

With the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) raising expectations around recyclability, recycled content and documentation, Asian packaging producers and recyclers supplying to Europe will need stronger evidence of compliance. RecyClass will clarify how Asian companies can prepare for recyclability assessments, certification requirements and customer demands linked to European market access.
The programme will also explore PET and rPET market trends, food-grade recycling, feedstock access, advanced recycling, circular polyolefins, flexible packaging recovery, traceability, certification and recycled plastics compliance.
