
Dr Vinay Mulgundmath is an Engineering Specialist within Saudi Aramco’s Process Consulting Services Department, specializing in clean energy technologies and Carbon capture. He is a member of International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP) CCS Commi??ee and contributes to Strategic Planning at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM)’s Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Hydrogen Technologies and Carbon management.
Previously, Vinay served as Chief Technologist at Scotland’s Oil & Gas Technology Centre (now Net-Zero Technology Centre), driving innovation in low-carbon solutions. He also held board roles at the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) and the Scottish Energy Advisory Board (SEAB) co-chaired by the First Minister, advising on energy and environmental policy.
Currently, Vinay is a Non-Execu??ve Advisor to Scottish Carbon capture and Storage (SCCS), the Scotland’s Hydrogen Accelerator at the University of St. Andrews, and an Honorary Administrator at the University of Aberdeen’s Directorate of Research & Innovation. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering with specializa??on in carbon capture technologies from Canada and an MSc in Process Engineering from France. A Guest Professor and Subject Matter Expert, he focuses on cross cutting themes including decarbonization, clean energy technologies, and sustainable energy systems.
