CEO at BlueAlp, started his career in strategy consulting at Bain & Company followed by a stint at Shell in various roles. Valentijn joined BlueAlp four years ago with a belief in the need to make plastics truly circular. His move to BlueAlp was strongly rooted in the technology advantage showcased by the scale up and the team of 100 highly motivated and experienced individuals. Valentijn also serves as President of Chemical Recycling Europe, collaborating with industry players to advance regulatory clarity and empower the sector to expand recycling capacity. He believes that chemical recycling is proving to be a game changer in the plastics recycling industry and working on challenges in upscaling the technology and accelerating plastic recycling will help with the energy transition, the materials transition, and in solving waste problems across the world.
