Christine Halim began her journey by collecting plastic waste from a small garage in Surabaya. She later expanded her expertise by venturing into the export of PET flakes to China and the import of polyester staple fibres in Indonesia.

Over time, through her experience in trading both PET flakes and finished products, she expanded her investments and established a PET recycling factory, which also produces non-woven fiber.

Today, she is the founder of a food-grade, bottle-to-bottle recycling company, as well as a modern waste management operation and a circular economy consultancy. Over the past 20 years, her businesses have flourished and expanded across various regions of Indonesia. Her journey stands as a remarkable example of entrepreneurship and sustainability.
