Currently, Patrick Aquino is the Director of the Energy Utilization Management Bureau (EUMB) under the Philippine Department of Energy (DOE). A Career Executive Service Officer (CESO) Rank III, he previously served in the Office of the Secretary (OSEC), Information Technology Management Services (ITMS) and Energy Policy and Planning Bureau (EPPB). In support of Bagong Pilipinas, he is aggressively implementing the Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EEC) Act, Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA), and programs on energy fields and technologies such as hydrogen and nuclear.
