He has more than 20 years of experience in the private sector industries living in India, Dubai & Mexico and holds a vast experience in diverse international markets and people which includes Asia, Europe, Middle East, North, central & South America.

He is also the President of the India Mexico business Chamber.

He is part of Elite members of Flexible packaging association, USA as well as Elite member of Mexico packaging industry.

Alejandro has extensive experience in multi-stakeholder processes, specialized in fisheries management and regenerative mariculture. His current project portfolio includes regenerative models with high social impact in fisheries, food systems, waste management, circular economies for plastic, legal frameworks, governance and community development.

He holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, a master's degree in Engineering and one in Education from the Tecnológico de Monterrey and an executive certificate in innovation and strategy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.Alejandro has extensive experience in multi-stakeholder processes, specialized in fisheries management and regenerative mariculture.

Mauricio is an Industrial engineer with 19 years of experience working in multinational flexible packaging companies, focused on delivering positive results through effective leadership, continuous improvement skills and outperformance mindset. He aims to :

• Promote sustainable packaging solutions, flexible packaging recycling and PCR content.
• Customer business growth through innovation
• Standard packaging portfolio optimization / simplification

Mayra Hernandez, born in Mexico City and trained as a Lawyer for more than 20 years, has amassed an extensive experience in top multinational companies, such as GEPP (the former Pepsi Bottling Group) and Whirlpool, as well as in public institutions both as a public servant or consultant, particularly within the Federal Chamber of Deputies and Mexico City´s Congress, in matters related to lobbying, communications, marketing, compliance, regulations, standards, government and public relations. Currently, she works as Director of Government and Regulatory Affairs in ECOCE, a Non-profit civil association promoting recycling

Luz Elena Aristizábal Alviar is the Familia Foundation Lead. She is an Environmental Engineer with a  Master of Arts in Environmental Legislation, Master of Science in Environmental Management. She has 15 years of experience in the circular economy and sustainability sector, leading process to understand and increase recyclable materials in the supply chain, working with industries, governments and waste pickers in the formalized process in Colombia and Latin America.

María Fernanda Aparicio Appendini is a Research Analyst at Wood Mackenzie in the chemicals sector. Part of the PET/RPET and Polyolefins/Recycled Polyolefins teams, she is dedicated to the analysis of regional market dynamics through insights, reports and observations.  

Her work not only contributes to a comprehensive view of the polyester and polyolefins value chain but also supports assessments of sustainability areas within the circular economy. Recently, she has investigated the development of the plastics industry caused by the future demand for recycled materials, national-level legislation and the progress of infrastructure to support and promote future recycling markets.

María Fernanda joined Wood Mackenzie in May 2023 as part of the GAT (Global Analyst Team) team and is based in Mexico City. Before joining Wood Mackenzie, he worked at Grupo Bimbo in the Carbon-Neutral area, where she focused on the acquisition and management of renewable energy. María has a bachelor's degree in Physical Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana Mexico City, with recognition for academic excellence and a talent scholarship.

María Fernanda Aparicio Appendini es Analista de Investigación en Wood Mackenzie en el sector de químicos. Forma parte de los equipos de PET/RPET y Poliolefinas/Poliolefinas recicladas, en donde se dedica al análisis de la dinámica regional de los mercados a través de insights, reportes y observaciones.  

 Su labor no solo contribuye a una visión integral de la cadena de valor del poliéster y las poliolefinas, sino que también apoya las evaluaciones de las áreas de sostenibilidad dentro de la economía cirular. Recientemente, ha investigado el desarrollo de la industria del plástico, causado por la demanda futura de materiales reciclados, las legislaciones a nivel nacional y el progreso de la infraestructura para respaldar y promover los futuros mercados del reciclaje.

Es director de empaques flexibles en ECOCE y coordinador de Economía Circular en la Universidad del Medio Ambiente. Trabajó por más de 20 años en la industria manufacturera mexicana dirigiendo diversos proyectos.

Oscar Rivas graduated as an Industrial and Systems Engineer from ITESM Campus Monterrey; Global Master in Business Administration by Thunderbird School of Global Management; and accreditations in senior management programs at IPADE, INALDE and Duke.

He has a professional career of more than 25 years in FEMSA, PYOSA, and since 2007 in Holcim Mexico, initially as Commercial Manager at Ecoltec (today Geocycle Mexico), later as Director of New Business Development for Geocycle Latin America (with operations in 7 countries), and since January 2022 as Managing Director for Geocycle Mexico.

During his career at Geocycle, he has developed tools, processes and business models to position the company as a leader in sustainable waste management, offering innovative circular economy solutions for the major waste challenges in the region. For more than 2 years, he has led one of Geocycle's largest operations worldwide, driving Geocycle Mexico’s team to offer increasingly better solutions to industries, businesses and municipalities in the country, supporting Holcim Mexico's net zero emissions roadmap, with an ambitious growth strategy to transform more and more waste into a resource that can be used in the cement manufacturing process and other recycling technologies.

Dr. Gerardo Teran is a profesional with  17 years of experience in the plastic industry, managing technical areas like R&D, Engineering, Innovation and technical service. He is currently the  Application Development and Technical Service Director for the Latin America region at Lyondellbasell. He holds a PhD in Marerials Science from the Universiry of Barcelona and has a Project Management Postgrade from the Polythecnic University of Catalunya.

Marcela  has more than 10 years of experience in the food industry who has managed to build a comprehensive vision of an FMCG through the different roles she has held. Her genuine interest in environmental conservation has led her to complement her profile with studies in Circular Economy and Business Sustainability Management that have allowed her to incorporate an ESG vision into the strategy of Mondelez Snacking Mexico.

Omar Gonzalez hailing from Mexico. A graduate of Universidad del Noreste, he has a specialization in Industrial Chemistry and he is on the verge of completing a Master's degree in Productivity and Quality at Tecnologico de Monterrey in December this year. With a rich background in the flexible packaging industry, he has navigated technical and commercial realms within bioriented films manufacturing. 

His expertise spans packaging processes, R&D, and innovation. Since 2015, he has been in Oben's BOPET business unit, leading disruptive and circular economy projects across various units including BOPP, CPP, BOPA, BOPE, and BOPET as a Regional Development Manager and currently as Business Development Manager for North America.

Juan Pablo is a socio-environmental entrepreneur with a career defined by his passion for sustainability and social impact. With a degree in Corporate Communication from Universidad Anáhuac and a Green MBA from Universidad del Medio Ambiente, he has dedicated over a decade to transforming how businesses and individuals interact with the environment.

He began his career at Zimat Consultores, where he gained deep insights into crisis management, and quickly rose to lead strategic planning at Extrategia Comunicación y Medios. In 2010, he founded Csustentable, a trailblazing communications agency focused on social and environmental issues. For 13 years, he led high-impact projects across Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil, driving the development of renewable energy and corporate sustainability strategies.

In 2020, Juan Pablo made a decisive shift towards responsible consumption by creating Pide Rural, a groundbreaking initiative offering regenerative agriculture products that challenge the status quo. Pide Rural has become a reference point for educating consumers on the environmental footprint of their consumption. Two years later, he launched Reciclaje Rural, an innovative service that recovers and revalues waste, preventing tons of materials from ending up in landfills or natural areas.

Under his leadership, Reciclaje Rural not only recovers 10 tons of waste monthly but has also formed strategic alliances with recycling giants like PeTStar and ECOCE, launching pilot programs for flexible plastics recycling. His vision extends beyond waste collection; he seeks to integrate consumers and businesses into a circular economic model that prioritizes social and environmental well-being.

Andres Quiroga Giraldo graduated as a Mechanical Engineer specialized in Marketing Management, with proven skills and achievements in the areas of Strategic Vision, Communication, Desing Thinking, Organization and Time Management, Marketing, Sales and Innovation. He is leading the Connectivity & Products Business in Colombia, Central America & Caribbean Region for SGS.

Santiago García was born in Mexico City. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from UNAM and was a fellow in Great Britain. He worked for 10 years in the chemical and metallurgical industry at Industrias Peñoles in Mexico and New York. In 1989, he initiated a project for one of the first PET packaging manufacturing companies in Mexico and served as the Director of Continental PET Technologies for Latin America until 2001. In 1995, he led the group that formed APREPET A.C., the first association of the PET packaging production chain, and served as its first president. From 2002 to 2008, he served as General Manager of APREPET A.C. From 2009 to 2017, he worked as a Senior Consultant at Wood Mackenzie in Great Britain. He also served as a technical advisor at Inboplast between 2018 and 2019. Currently, he is the Coordinator of the Recyclers Committee at Ecoce A.C. and a member of the communication committee at the APR (Association of Plastics Recyclers.

Mr. Juan Rangel Osorio joined Barry Callebaut as the R&D Packaging Manager for LATAM since 2.8 yrs ago. Previously, he was in Packaging Engineering & Project Management with ADM for 2 years and prior to that, he was involved in QA, Process Engineer and Packaging Development with PVM for 10 yrs.

Mr. Juan Rangel has a Bachelor in Food Chemistry and a Diploma in Project Management.

Daniel Jaramillo is currently the Director of Innovation at ALICO SAS BIC. He is a mechanical engineer, specialist in industrial maintenance, with a master’s in business administration, a master’s in operations management, and a master’s in innovation. With over 15 years of experience in the packaging sector, he has led the organizational strategy of the company.
