Johan Börje has more than 30 years’ experience in international relations, technology, sustainability, circular economy and energy. At Stockholm Exergi he played a key role in the company’s successful application for grants from the EU Innovation Fund for the company's BECCS project. Today, his job is to secure additional funding for the project leading up to the Final Investment Decision, with particular focus on the Voluntary Carbon Market. Johan is directly involved in policy work related to climate accounting and methodologies for certification of carbon removals. He is the company’s representative in the Negative Emissions Platform.

Ian Metzger is an analyst with leading international shipbrokers Braemar, covering the dry bulk freight market as well as the latest developments in shipping decarbonisation. Ian compiles regular reports, advises Braemar’s diverse client base, and has previously spoken at international conferences on environmental regulations and decarbonisation trends within the shipping industry.

Victor Smith is a Business Development Manager at CM Biomass, a role he has held since 2020. Victor is leading turn-key projects to decarbonize the processing industry, responding to the industry’s increasing demand for bioenergy and has been particularly influential in establishing a strong presence for CM Biomass in the segment. In addition, he oversees the sourcing and commercialization of new biomass feedstocks, playing a crucial role in expanding the feedstock-pool in the European market accommodating the increased demand from new biomass users.

Alicia is the Senior Scientific Officer at Drax, where she leads the team that turns the latest science and evidence into sustainable policy and practice for biomass and carbon removals. Previously, she served as the Director of Science and Communications for the Geological Society of London, where she led the establishment of strategic science themes, including the Energy Transition, and built bridges between academia and industry. Alicia was also a founding editor of Nature Geoscience, and obtained a PhD in the geosciences, with a specialty in paleoclimate and paleoceanography.
