She set up the research desk of SPI Marine Asia, and spent almost 8 years there working as freight market analyst of liquid chemical chartering shipping, covering chemical, vegoil, molasses and clean petroleum shipping markets. She worked in ICAP Shipping Singapore as a senior analyst for the DPP, CPP, liquid chemical, LPG, LNG shipping markets. Prior to that she has worked in Shanghai Ship & Shipping Research Institute as an analyst, participated in many projects in shipping and logistics field.

 

Since joining Drewry as Lead Analyst in May 2015, Hu Qing has improved the Chemical Forecaster, overviewed the quality of gas shipping market report, and participated several consulting assignments covering chemical tanker shipping market.

 

Hu Qing holds a Master of Science degree in Transportation System and Management from National University of Singapore and Bachelor’s degree in International Trading and Shipping Management from Wuhan University of Technology in China.

He is in charge of Corporate R&D linked with Catalysis, Processes, Renewables and Recycling. He supervises the long-term projects in this area, and builds the relationships with academic partners and companies for collaborative research.


Graduated from the Hautes Etudes Industrielles (HEI), he did a Voluntary Service Overseas in Saudi Arabia at the KFUPM/RI. He obtained his PhD from the Institut Français du Pétrole (French Institute of Petroleum) for his work on Catalysts for Oxidative Coupling of Methane. After a Post-Doctorate at the National Chemical Laboratory for Industry (Tsukuba, Japan) on CO2 conversion, he found a Research Scientist position at the R&D Centre of the refining company elf-antar-france (now TOTAL), and stayed 2 years in the laboratories of Japan Energy in a collaborative research project on Hydrodesulphurization catalysts. He moved to the chemical division of the group, elf-atochem (now in-part Arkema) in 1997, and successively stayed in the R&D Centres in Saint-Avold and Pierre-Bénite (France), where he worked on oxidation catalysts and started several research projects on biomass conversion.


Recently he has been involved in several EU projects on: Biomass conversion and Biorefineries (Eurobioref, Biocore, Cosmos, F3Factory), 3D printing for process technologies (Printcr3Ddit); plastic recycling: Resyntex (textile recycling), MMAtwo (PMMA depolymerization), Multicycle (Selective dissolution of polymer and composites), PolynSpire (depolymerization of polyamides and polyurethanes); Games (serious game to teach basic chemical engineering principles of recycling); BioReCO2Ver and Biocon-CO2 (CO2 conversion); C123 (methane conversion); MAGIC and PANACEA (non-food crops); COSMIC (Microwaves and Ultrasounds); Charming (Virtual and augmented reality for processes).


He is the author of more than 100 publications and 150 patent applications.

He started his professional career as a Chemist for Nalco at their European Headquarter located in Leiden, The Netherlands. He moved back to Italy and joined FACI (multinational oleochemical company) in 2001 as Sales and Development Manager, responsible mostly for the expansion of the FACI commercial activity into the North American markets.


In 2010, he joined then Novapex (now Seqens SPS) as Sales Manager, responsible for the Southern European Countries. Since July 2020, he took full responsibility for sales and marketing of IPA and Acetone, while keeping product management role for most of the company’s Specialty products (such as Acetophenone, Cumene Hydroperoxide and Di Iso Propyl Benzene)

Roger has over 30 years experience in the petrochemical industry having started his career in 1986 with Dow Chemical in Europe. After having worked in various commercial functions in plastics and hydrocarbons, Roger joined Integra early 1993 to set up a liquid petchems trading desk which includes aromatics and derivatives such as phenol and acetone and to help globalise the business.
 
Over the years, Roger has been involved in trading, financing, joint ventures, acquisitions and corporate management of Integra.
Integra is a group of companies specialised in trading, marketing and distribution of petrochemicals with a global presence and it’s head office is in Singapore. Roger’s current role is as Executive Director of Integra. Roger has board position in several companies and is chairman of the Board of BTS Tankers, a Singapore based shipping company.
 
Roger has a Master’s degree from the University of Tilburg, the Netherlands.

She also previously worked at OPIS IHS Markit as a Senior Market Analyst, covering Naphtha and the condensate markets and launching the LNG spot pricing assessment in her time there.

 

Prior to working in S&P Global and OPIS IHS Market, Michelle worked in Ernst & Young M&A Advisory as an Energy Strategy Assistant Director at its Seoul office. She also covered financial and business news and market analysis for Korea Economic Daily as a reporter in Seoul before moving overseas.

 

Michelle holds a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of Birmingham, UK, for which she is awarded a British Chevening Scholarship from the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Yonsei University in Seoul.

 

She was awarded ‘Young Talented Energy Professional’ at the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) annual conference held in Singapore in 2017.

In 2021, he served as the Director of China Business.


JERRY has been stationed in China for a long time and is familiar with the epoxy resin market and upstream and downstream supply relationship of raw materials in China.
 
The total capacity of Nan Ya Electronic Materials Kunshan Co., Ltd. is currently at 228 thousand tons/year. At present, Nan Ya kunshan is the largest epoxy resin manufacturer in China.
