A typical tire releases an estimated 300 kilograms of carbon dioxide throughout its life cycle.  In many countries most disposed-of tires end up being incinerated.

That is about to change.  Today, the tyre and rubber industry across the Asia-Pacific region is undergoing a transformative shift toward circularity, driven by environmental imperatives, regulatory changes, and technological innovation. This conference brings together key stakeholders — from industry leaders and researchers to policymakers — to explore how the region can “close the loop” on tyre production, use, and end-of-life recovery.
