Wachirachai Koonamwattana serves as the Chief Sustainability Officer at SCG, responsible for ensuring that SCG achieves greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets by supporting business units in investment planning, technology exploration, and collaboration with stakeholders. The role also includes ensuring the integrity of data related to GHG emissions and sustainability disclosures, in line with international standards.
Spending over 30 years of working in SCG, he has many experiences in finance, M&A, strategic planning, corporate planning and new business development. In addition to his current role, he also serves as the Head of Green Choice Technical Team, leading the effort to define and set standards for SCG Green products
in the construction value chain to meet global standards and customer requirements. He has played a vital role in setting frameworks and guidelines to certify Green Choice products, services, and solutions for the construction industry, ensuring alignment with reputable standards and industry needs.
He earned a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, an MBA from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, an MBE from Thammasat University and completed the Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School.
