Marcio Amazonas is an international executive with large experience in sustainability aspects of the packaged food & beverage industry. He worked for The Coca-Cola Company, Plastic Technologies, Inc. (PTI) and other companies leading initiatives in recycling and circular design.  His current focus at NEXTLOOPP, Inc., where he serves as vice-president for the Americas, is the development of markets and technologies to recycle polypropylene for direct food contact.  Marcio has joined earlier editions of LAPET and SCAPET as speaker and moderator.  He is based in Brazil and works closely with plastic recyclers in Mexico, Colombia, and Chile, supporting their domestic rPP markets and exports.

Fernando Rosas is a senior executive with more than 35 years of experience in the PET, recycled PET (RPET), and polyester industries, with a career spanning manufacturing, process engineering, quality, technical service, and commercial leadership.
He joined Alpek Polyester—formerly DAK Americas / Akra Polyester—in 1990, initially holding various manufacturing and operations positions before transitioning into commercial roles in 1996. Since 2015, he has held commercial leadership responsibilities for PET resins and polyester staple fibers across Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and Colombia.

Throughout his career, Fernando has developed extensive experience across the polyester value chain, combining a strong technical background with commercial and market expertise. His work has involved customers and industry stakeholders across packaging, recycling, and textile applications, with particular focus on PET and RPET markets, circularity, and the evolving dynamics of the plastics and polyester industries.

Fernando currently serves as President of the Artificial Fibers Section at ANIQ and President of the Raw Materials Section at ANIPAC, contributing to industry dialogue and initiatives related to competitiveness, sustainability, circular economy, and the development of Mexico’s plastics and polyester value chains.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Engineering and a Master’s degree in International Commerce from the University of Monterrey.

Fernando Rosas es un ejecutivo con más de 35 años de experiencia en las industrias de PET, PET reciclado (RPET) y poliéster, con una trayectoria que abarca manufactura, ingeniería de procesos, calidad, servicio técnico y liderazgo comercial.
Se incorporó a Alpek Polyester —anteriormente DAK Americas / Akra Polyester— en 1990, desempeñando inicialmente diversas posiciones en manufactura y operaciones, antes de iniciar su trayectoria comercial en 1996. Desde 2015, ha ocupado posiciones de liderazgo comercial en los negocios de resinas de PET y fibra corta de poliéster para México, el Caribe, Centroamérica y Colombia.

A lo largo de su carrera, Fernando ha desarrollado una amplia experiencia en la cadena de valor del poliéster, combinando una sólida formación técnica con experiencia comercial y conocimiento de los mercados. Su trayectoria incluye la colaboración con clientes y diversos actores de la industria en aplicaciones de envase, reciclaje y textiles, con especial enfoque en los mercados de PET y RPET, la circularidad y la evolución de las industrias del plástico y el poliéster.

Actualmente, Fernando se desempeña como Presidente de la Sección de Fibras Artificiales de ANIQ y Presidente de la Sección de Materias Primas de ANIPAC, participando activamente en el diálogo y en iniciativas de la industria relacionadas con competitividad, sustentabilidad, economía circular y el desarrollo de las cadenas de valor del plástico y el poliéster en México.

Es Ingeniero en Sistemas de Información y cuenta con una Maestría en Comercio Internacional, ambos grados por la Universidad de Monterrey.

José Canga, born in Oviedo (Spain) in 1976, studied Chemical Engineering and has a MSc in Environmentally Sustainable Process Technology. Since it was founded in 1983, EREMA has specialised in the development and production of plastics recycling systems and technologies for the plastics processing industry. Alexander joined EREMA in 2006 as an apprentice in electrical engineering.
After completing his apprenticeship, Alexander worked for several years as a startup and service technician, travelling worldwide, before moving to EREMA After Sales in 2015, where he completed his High school diploma (Austrian Matura) and an Industrial master certificate in electrical engineering.


In 2026, he moved to his current position as Business Development Manager for the PET Bottle and Food Grade recycling applications.
